I believe it’s important for the Urban Strategies team to review the current proposal before the Troy Planning Commission to construct a new apartment complex at 1 MSG. As a member of We Care About the Square, who actively oppose the Kirchoff Company’s current plan as being antithetical to how the waterfront can be an asset, your comments would be most appreciated. You can read the whole history of objections at the website a member has created at We Care About the Square, or WCATS.

Further, the Capital District Transportation Authority has announced the creation of a transportation hub at the corner of Fulton and 3rd. Has there been any communication between you and CDTA about this plan? I’m concerned that development is taking place without consultation between city and Urban Strategies about development initiatives before the Comprehensive Plan is adopted.

      Hi Alane,

Many thanks for your feedback. We continue to have discussions with the City of Troy about recent development projects and opportunities in the city. We have also met with over a 100 organizations/groups to gather information and input into the Comprehensive Plan, and our recent trip included additional conversations with the CDTA.
